To emphasize comprehensive, innovative, and compassionate care for our veterinary patients, the 32,000 square foot, two-level hospital has 23 patient examination/consultation rooms and five special procedure rooms dedicated to dermatology, ophthalmology, oncology, dentistry and oral surgery, ultrasonography, and internal medicine. The building also features four surgical suites, a dedicated 24-hour emergency and critical care service, a linear accelerator radiation therapy suite, an in-house laboratory, diagnostic imaging facilities with 2 digital radiology units, a gamma camera, a helical CT scanner, and ultrasound equipment. Specially designed facilities promote the safe and protected use of radioactive iodine treatment. Treatment areas designed for hospitalized patients provide focused state-of-the-art care for internal medicine patients. Most examination rooms are equipped with computers for retrieval of patient information and presentation of digital radiographic images. Two examination rooms are designed with added comfort and can be used for patient visitation and client bereavement. Four separate entrances for the specialty practices and emergency clinic promote efficient and personalized client interaction. The basement level houses a conference center which is ideal for hosting continuing education seminars.
