What to expect during the consultation:
After checking in at the front desk, a veterinary technician will obtain information about your pet to assist our oncologist. The technician will also obtain your pet’s temperature, pulse, and respiratory rate. The oncologist will then review information sent by your regular veterinarian, examine your pet, and provide you with information about your pet’s condition and treatment options. Our oncologist will answer any questions regarding your pet’s medical condition and treatment plans and will provide you a written cost estimate.

Some procedures may need to be scheduled on a different day other than the initial consultation, depending on the nature of the procedure and the oncologist's schedule. We will work diligently with you to try to schedule your pet’s procedure so that it is as convenient for you as possible.

What should I bring to the consultation?

Please bring radiographs, ultrasound images, and copies of lab test results with you to your appointment. Be sure to bring any medication that your pet is taking. If available, bring copies of your pet’s pertinent medical records. If your pet has not had any diagnostics peformed, these may be recommended by the oncologist. These diagnostics may be performed the same day or you may need to bring your pet back on a different day.

Payment information:

We offer many flexible options for payment. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover credit cards. Due to the significant investment in time and materials, we require a deposit of 60% of the surgical estimate at the time your pet is admitted. Payment in full is required at the time of hospital discharge.

In order to assist with these unplanned financial expenditures, convenient financing is available in many cases through CareCredit. CareCredit is an independent financing company that offers a revolving credit line for veterinary and human healthcare expenditures, and they offer a variety of payment options. For more information about CareCredit financing, please visit their website.
